| Transportation in Auckland, New Zealand
There are three primary ways to get around the city of Auckland and its nearby attractions. Walking is the best way to explore downtown. To get beyond the central business district (CBD), look for a bus called The Link. Taxis are relatively plentiful; many, such as those that serve the airport, accept credit cards. In addition, ferries are a quick and inexpensive way to get from the mainland to one of the outer islands.
